As a material that is often seen in various building constructions, geogrids are still in great demand, so how to store and transport the purchased materials is also a concern of customers.
1. Storage of geogrid.
Geogrid is a geosynthetic material produced by unique construction materials such as polypropylene and polyethylene. It has the disadvantage of being easily aged when exposed to ultraviolet light. Therefore, steel-plastic geogrid reinforced grids should be stacked in a room with natural ventilation and light isolation; The accumulation time of the ribs should not exceed 3 months in total. If the accumulation time is too long, it needs to be re-inspected; when paving, pay attention to reducing the time of direct exposure to natural light to avoid aging.
2. Construction of reinforcement materials.
In order to prevent Geshan from being damaged at the construction site, a 15-centimeter-thick soil filling layer is required between the chain rails of the commonly used mechanical equipment and the geogrid; within 2m of the adjacent construction surface, a compactor with a total weight of not more than 1005kg is used. Or compact the filling with a roller compactor; during the whole filling process, the reinforcement should be prevented from moving, and if necessary, a prestress of 5 kN should be applied to the reinforcement with a tension beam through the grid mesh to counteract the harm of sand compaction and displacement.
3. In addition, road freight is generally used in the transportation of geogrids, because water transportation may absorb moisture and damp.
